A World of Tulips
Since 1953, the most colourful festival in Canada has celebrated the tulip, Ottawa’s official flower and an international symbol of friendship and peace, through art and culture. Our millions of tulips pay tribute to veterans and the liberation of the Netherlands by Canadian troops during World War II, while serving as a perfect backdrop for authentic art, culture, history and food-related events for the whole family. May 11–21, 2018.
Chez Edgar with a Smile
The incredible brunches that chef Marysol prepares in her tiny Chez Edgar restaurant in Gatineau have created a buzz all over the country. The place, like its food, is bound to put a smile on your face. Get there early, space is very limited.
The region is a perfect stop for fans of the great outdoors—especially the greenbelt that crosses the city from east to west. All told, 20,000 hectares of greenery, varied ecosystems, and heritage areas are available to hikers.
NORdic cuisine, Canadian ingredients. This is the motto (and the mission) of Norca Restaurant & Bar, located in Le Germain Hotel Ottawa. Come and be amazed, as Chef Dominique Dufour and her team pay tribute to our soil, our origins and our seasons.
