Connie DeSousa's Top 3 Stampede Tips

CHARBAR'S ROOFTOP PATIO

Our new restaurant charbar just opened and the view from the rooftop patio is incredible. Guests will be able to see the fireworks every night - there's no better rooftop view in the city. Keeping cool will be easy with our cocktail menu designed by our good friend Christopher Cho from Ayden in Saskatoon. Our cocktails are unique, inspired and refreshing...We're using a lot of fresh fruit and herbs. Perfect for patio time in the prairies.

COWBOY TRAIL

We are so excited to be working with Alberta's first small batch craft spirit makers, Eau Claire Distillery and if visitors to Calgary are looking for a beautiful drive into the country a trip to the farm-to-glass distillery and tasting room in Turner Valley, Alberta is a must. Less than an hour drive from Le Germain Hotel Calgary - the view of the Rockies is absolutely breathtaking from the highway and you'll see beautiful farms and barn animals, rolling hills and true prairie land. Enjoy a tour and tasting, learn about Alberta's history during prohibition times and how they are horse farming grains for vodka, gin and whisky. This place is so special and we're proud to call them partners. As an added bonus, the Chuckwagon Cafe next door has delicious burgers!

SANTE SPA

Being out in the sun and wearing boots for 10 days can really tough on cowboys and cowgirls. I love getting a foot massage and pedi towards the end of Stampede for some pampering, rest and relaxation. Sante Spa at Le Germain Calgary is a fantastic spot to take a break from the wild times all over town. Sneak away with a girlfriend or two to decompress and plan for the night to come. The ladies at Sante Spa are so professional and lovely - I always feel so welcome.
